ENTERING THE AWARDS
Not at all! We are seeking the best and brightest from across Australia, so we do not restrict solely to our membership base.
No, we do not charge to enter the Awards. However, if you do enter the National Retail Awards we recommend purchasing a seat at the Gala Dinner as soon as possible while early bird pricing lasts.
The criteria goes online on Friday, 14 February 2020. If you have any questions at all about eligibility or entering, phone our office on 1800 RETAIL or email our team at marketing@nra.net.au.
You are welcome to enter if you have entered or won this competition in previous years, however if your business has won an award for three consecutive years you will be entered into the Hall of Fame and will be ineligible to enter that award for the next 2 years.
The exception to this is the Young Retailer of the Year Award (see below).
Entries for online submission open on Monday, 2 March 2020 at 9am.
To enter, visit https://nationalretailawards.awardsplatform.com/ and follow the prompts.
All entry submissions are due by Friday, 14 August 2020 at close of business.
Unfortunately out of fairness to other entrants, and the time constraints of the judging panel, we are not able to allow late entries to be submitted.
In general, each outlet of your business counts as one entrant - so if your company has multiple stores or franchises, you can enter every single location if you choose e.g. John’s Bakery Malvern, John’s Bakery Blacktown.
Alternatively, you can just choose to submit your entry as your whole company, but this will mean that no individual locations may enter that same category.
Purely online retail businesses count as one entrant. Multi-channel businesses cannot submit a separate entry for the online component of their business.
Some award categories require an endorsement. This is for all entries in the Individual Awards category. The endorsement process is simple - just follow the prompts at https://nationalretailawards.awardsplatform.com/
If you are announced as a finalist in any National Retail Awards category, you have to log in to attend. We hope that you, and all your team members, log in and join us on Thursday, 15 October 2020 at 2pm.

NATIONAL RETAIL AWARDS EVENT
Due to the constraints around travel and gatherings caused by COVID-19, the National Retail Association is unable to throw it's regular, show-stopping gala.
However, there is still a plethora of retailers who have gone above and beyond this year, that deserve recognition for their hard work.
As such, the Awards will be conducted virtually this year in a format that will feature presenters, winners and special keynote speakers, including the Minister for Employment, Skills, Small and Family Business, Senator the Hon Michaelia Cash.
Not at all! The virtual event is free for all retailers.
The National Retail Association is always excited to bring new sponsors on board.
To discuss the opportunities available to you, phone 1800 RETAIL or email marketing@nra.net.au.
