Any retail business or person employed by a retail business is eligible and encouraged to enter the Awards. As Australia’s premier retail awards, the National Retail Awards recognize a broad range of the best retail operators and we love to see every facet of retail businesses and retail professional staff enter. 

Be part of the biggest celebration of the retail industry in Australia! There are no barriers to entry (provided you meet the category criteria) and if you are chosen as a finalist or the winner of your nominated category/s then you will be celebrated amongst your peers and recognized nationally for your or your business’s outstanding performance.  

Not at all! The National Retail Awards are open to all retailers in Australia, and we are looking for the best and brightest stars out there. 

Yes. If you are selected as finalist, you must attend the Awards gala in Brisbane on 26/10/2023. All finalists will receive one complimentary ticket to attend the Gala where winners will be chosen. You can purchase additional tickets for your support crew to attend the Gala, and there is preferential pricing for finalists to buy tickets. 

The Gala is being held at the Rivershed at Howard Smith Wharves, in Brisbane on Thursday October 26, 2023. 

Not at all! All nominations are free.

No, you are welcome to enter as many categories as you like. 

Yes you can, provided you meet the rules of entry for each category. 

Nominations open on Wednesday June 14. 

Nominations close on Thursday August 31. 

No, all entries will close on 31/08/2023 and no late entries will be accepted. 

Of course. Franchisees are welcome to enter any of the categories as a stand along, single business. Alternatively, the parent company can choose to enter the whole company, but that means to no individual locations may enter the same category. 

This year we have introduced a category just for franchisees, so this may suit you best. 

Endorsements are not mandatory, however an endorsement from a senior colleague or manager can be very beneficial for the Individual categories.

Supporting documents or evidence is not mandatory for any Award. However, all categories have the option for nominees to provide materials or supporting documents to showcase work examples, and such material can often be beneficial for the nominee and useful for the judges.
